The legendary Spanish defender reacted to the news of Huijsen sealing a move to Los Blancos by posting a well-wishing message on his Instagram story. Real Madrid announced on Saturday morning that they had activated Huijsen's £50 million ($66m) release clause and agreed terms with the defender to join the club before this summer's Club World Cup.

The defender made 671 appearances for the club, making him the fourth-highest appearance maker in Madrid's history.
