Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reportedly agreed a shock return to management that would see him follow in Jose Mourinho’s footsteps.

WHAT HAPPENED?
The 57-year-old German walked away from the dugout in 2024 when bidding an emotional farewell to Premier League giants Liverpool. At the start of 2025, Klopp took over as Head of Global Soccer for the Red Bull Group – overseeing strategic plans for their collection of football clubs, which includes RB Leipzig, the New York Red Bulls, Leeds United and Paris FC.

It is, however, being claimed that Klopp misses “the world of football and the pitch” – with a man that has Bundesliga, Premier League and Champions League titles on his impressive CV reportedly pining for a return to everyday coaching.
